  4. Aaron, I have no doubt that your determination and perseverence will see you thorough to a full recovery. You have inspired an entire community without geographical bounds. My hope is that you will keep your sense of humor as it will make your load all that much lighter in the process. BTW, stick a cotton ball in the open end of the feeding tube if you can with light pressure and watch what happens when you burp. God Bless, and have a safe journey.

  5. I just read the new message on your we site Aaron and also Scott called to tell us your are going to NZ for more therapy, good luck and have a safe trip. We love you more then words can be said, you have been the best son-in-law, husband for our daughter Tedi and friend for Scott. Get well come back home to us, so we can have lots of fun again.

    Love Dad and Mom

  6. Good Luck with the new location and therapy!! Keep us posted, as Clarkie’s fighting spirit is a motivator for us all!

  7. Dude- Looks like that colossal sized Dunkin Donuts with the double expresso shot I got for you will have to wait a little longer! :-(

I check on your status every day and the kids still ask where the guy who talks funny is when we go into SSC. :-)

Have a good flight (as good as it can be) and keep working hard down under. It must seem like progress is taking forever and the steps are far too small, but as long as they are in the right direction, it all adds up.

Continuing to look forward to the updates. Thank you Tedi, Megan and Alex for that.

    Keep digging deep,
    David, Stephanie, Kate & Connor

  8. Gee Aaron – I was hoping you could stay here to rehab, but I guess it is an important benefit to be surrounded by extensive family to help you along your journey.

The Holcombs wish you all the best and hope you can return soon. You are in our thoughts.

    -Bob

Take care brother I’ll keep in touch.

  15. Aaron,

Sorry I haven’t written sooner. I read that you have gone home to New Zealand. I hope this move is good for you and your family and your recovery, but I hope you make it back here soon. Man, you have got one amazing group of people supporting you! I will keep checking your website for updates and passing on your progress to Roadracing World readers.

    Dave

  16. I hope being home will be speed the healing and lift your spirits! I fell off a ladder way back in 91 and ended up with 13 different broken bones and a lot of internal damage. The next year was a blur of operations and lots of great help from medical staff and family. I feel great today and really was amazed how well the body heals. I can’t do ever thing I could before the fall but I really value every day. You are a fighter, keep pushing!

  17. Hi Aaron. It was absolutely terrific seeing you and Megan this afternoon. Sitting outside in the park in the sun catching up was the just the best. You are doing so well and Rob & I are so proud of you and your team. We will pop in again next Sunday. Don’t forget to text me if you need anything. We look forward to visiting you with beer and pork chops – hopefully not too far in the future!!!

  18. Clarkie,

Hello, from Scotts Friends in AZ, Our Prayers are with you.

  19. Hi Aaron – It was so great seeing you again today. We had a good laugh. Your sense of humour is so strong I know it won’t be long before you are running the ward. Obviously having a night away from medics and staying at Megan and Andrew’s was great therapy. Christmas will be even better. We will pop in again after you get back from Megan’s on Boxing Day. Look after yourself and keep those positive thoughts flowing.

All our love from the tribe!!!

  20. Megan, Clarkie, et al:

Great to hear the news about all of the progress and that the trip back to Kiwi country went well. The progress reports are very encouraging.

I saw an item in today’s local newspaper that your Dad might like to see. Pam was cutting my hair a while back and told me Aaron’s Dad had stopped there for a haircut while he was downtown. See http://www.gazette.com/articles/barber_45213___article.html/hunt_shop.html .

Keep up the progress reports, we all do care.

  21. Aaron & Tedi,

Good to hear the news about all of the progress. You’re still in our thoughts and prayers. Wishing you and yours a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

  25. Your my hero man! It’s an honest to God miracle to see you standing there after visiting you in the hospital a few days after the accident. Keep up the strong work and know that everyone is still behind you every day.

  27. Hi to all the Clark clan,

I’ve been keeping up to date with Aaron’s progress through the website which has been amazing and must be so heartwarming for all of you. Aaron, you get a an A++++ for effort and attainment for your 2008 report card. I was just blown away to see the photo in the Advocate today and even more so to see the ones posted of you standing.

All the very best for 2009, keep the good work up.

  31. Hey Clarkie, great to see you doing so well! keep working hard at it you tough bastard!

  32. Aaron,
I’m super excited to see your progress. You look great! I really can’t believe the progress you have made in so little time. You have done a 180 since the last time I saw in the hospital (3 days after the accident). You are an inspiration to us all. Happy New Year!

  33. Aaron, we were so happy to read how much you have improved, standing, sitting up, smiling, what a joy. We check the web-site everyday for up-dates.

Sounds like you are getting great help there, hopefully you will back in the states after a few months.

    Loce, Dad & Mom Jensen

  34. Hey Aaron – it’s been a week since I have seen you and the progress is evident. Rob & I are confident it won’t be long before you are back in the USA having all functions working normally. That is due to your strength and determination. You said today reading back through the feed back on the website has made you reaise what your family and friends have been through after the accident while you were oblivious to everthing and how it made you feel. Remember that you had so much support because of you and your ability to give. What goes round comes round!!! Hey that would make a good song – I must get hold of Justin Timberlake and see if he is interested!!!!! Take care and I will pop in again Tuesday morning.

  35. Aaron

I am glad to see you are up and about. Merry Christmas and a healthy 2009

  36. Hey Aaron,
Glad to see you up and about, Merry Christmas to you and your family. I’m sure you don’t remember who I am but we met on the front straight at Miller back in Sept. Anyway, I’ve been following your progress ever since and it’s good to see you there with your family. NZ is looking pretty good as we’ve been in the midst of a terrible cold spell here (WA). Best wishes in the new year, I think of you often and keep you in my prayers for a continued and full recovery.

  37. Hi again Aaron. Sorry I missed you yesterday. I guess now that you are on crutches you will be hard to nail down. You are now armed and dangerous!! We wil pop in again over New Year. Try not to party too long tonight!!

  38. hey aaron, this is T, formerly of N. CO BMW/Ducati. i heard about your accident and i’m glad to see that you are doing well. i hope the new year brings more progress and a continued healthy recovery. keeping you in my thoughts and hope we meet again someday. take care and stay strong

  39. Hi: Aaron what great news, to read you are on crutches. Now they will not be able to hold you down.

We had a very quiet christmas this year, we sure missed you, Tedi and Scott.so hopefully you will be walking around when we see you again.

Good luck. Keep on with your great work.

    Lovve Mom Dad

  40. Happy New Year to the whole groups of you, and Aaron, it’s a gift to us to see you up on crutches and smiling!!

Keep up the great work, and we’ll keep wat6ching the updates!

  41. Hi Aaron – after visiting you yesterday we are very confident you will be back in the USA sooner rather than later. Walking around on one crutch is yet another milestone – these milestones seem to be happening faster than any of us could have imagined. The fact that you survived an influx of visitors today is a sure sign that your determination and motivation is still very strong. Going back to physio on Monday after 2 weeks break will be painful – but worth it. You must be looking forward to it. Keep fighting!!

    Love Sue & Rob

  42. Hey Aaron! It is great you’re off to such a good start to 2009! Crutches! (I had to use those last year — and it definitely beats a wheelchair.) We hope you had a very Merry Christmas being with your friends & family in your native land. We miss you here though & keep you in our thoughts and prayers always! Keep pushing on as you have a wonderful new year ahead of you and a lot of love & support behind you! Take Care!

  44. Great job Clarkie! Glad you had a good Christmas.

  45. Woooo Hoooo! Looks like that double shot DD coffee is back on the menu!

While you are taking those ‘first steps’ down under, Connor & I took his XR50 out on the ice for his first motorized excursion. Once he realized that it had plenty of grip on the ice, he couldn’t get the smile off of his face. :-)

    Keep working hard.
