Auctions to support Aaron Clark
The outpouring of support from the racing community has been truly amazing. One of the ways that people are trying to help Clarkie is by creating an auction of donated products and services. Scott Jensen has asked Kelly Rees to run the auction to benefit Clarkie.
Kelly can be contacted via email at tstar@trackstar1.com and via phone at 801-928-1976.
You can view all the auction items here.
In coordination with this is the efforts of individuals to gather up products and services from both the racing community and outside, anyone who is interested in helping out our friend in time of need. Kelly is maintaining the master list, and I will keep it updated here. If you are soliciting donations for Clarkie, please check this list first so that we don’t duplicate efforts.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!

you must meet bike rental and track requirements for age and training to win. If you don’t have the required training Chicane Trackdays will provide the training for you at the event free of charge. You are responsible for your own safety equipment. A full leather suit, motorcycle specific gloves and motorcycle specific boots, a full face helmet and a back protector are required for the on track prizes. You are responsible for the damage deposit should you win the arrive and ride or bike rental. There are only 1000 tickets available. You may enter as many times as you like.
SV-Portal Swingarm Stickers
Eric Jones has made some awesome swingarm stickers available, with all proceeds to benefit Aaron Clark.
There are only 9 clear (for Silver Swingarms) and 18 Silver (For Black Swingarms) not already accounted for on the SV-Portal.
$20 through Get Well Clarkie! and send receipt to JonesySVR@live.com
They are swingarm stickers and the Magazine is there for a size reference.
You can view full details at his forum thread.
DrippinWet has made up a set of Clarkie stickers, in a circle style suitable for helmet mounting. You can get your stickers by making a donation to Aaron Clark, and forwarding your PayPal receipt to Chris at kruzel AT drippinwet.com and then he’ll send the stickers off to you. Chris is recommending a donation of $8-$10 for a pair of the AC stickers, or $15 for the “SuperClarkie” stickers.
More details here on the Aprilia Forum.
Jamie James Riding School at Barber Motorsports – COMPLETED
ECOSSE Moto Works (Don Atchison MRA #18) has worked with Jamie James Yamaha Champions Riding School to help support Aaron Clark. Jamie will donate his profits from the last school of the year — November 20-21 at Barber Motorsports Park — to Aaron Clark’s support fund (www.getwellclarkie.com).
Clarkie supporters receive a special price package: 2-day school + bike + lodging + meals + equipment rental for $2,000. If you don’t need the equipment rental, that’s just more for Aaron. The price also includes a tour of the famous Barber Museum after lunch on Day 1.
Another bonus: Looks like WERA will be providing 2009 race licenses upon successful completion of the school.
Southwest Airlines has the best rates in/out of Birmingham which is approximately 15 miles away. As of Oct 24, there are 20 seats available. You can sign up online at www.jamiejamesyamaha.com; mention CLARKIE for the special pricing.
Please spread the word!

I urge as many people as possible to come down as I will be donating a portion of all food and beverage sales generated that night to help Clarkie! Also, there will be three national touring artists performing acoustic music directly after our meeting. The cover that night is $12.00 but for all MRA members it will be FREE!!!
Read more about the event here and here.

1) When can Aaron take visitors other than immediate family?
2) If I want to make a personal donation by check, who do I make it out to?
Thanks,
Bob

Hey Bob,
The word I’ve received from Scott is that visitors won’t be allowed until sometime after the surgery today, and it will likely largely depend on how difficult the operation is on his body and how long it takes him to regain strength afterwards.
The mailing address for Scott Jensen, who is handlind the donations, is available on the Donate page.
