Hey
Hi everyone, I know this is the first post I made but thanks to my wife, sister and Alex for keeping everyone up to date on my progress. Being my first post I have lots of people to thank, if I don’t mention you personally it is nothing personal.
First off I want to thank Alex for creating this site, you wouldn’t believe the emails I get with people saying they log on daily to check my progress, and everyone that comes in says they love the site and what Alex created, so thank you.
I want to thank my entire family here in NZ for being simply amazing, but mostly to Megan and Ned for being there every day and everything you two have done for me, it means a lot. I want to also thank my Mum and Ray, the weekend I spent at your place was awesome and I’m not sure what was in the scallops we had on the BBQ but I am convinced they are part of the reason my voice improved so much the next day.
I want to thank everyone that has left a message on this site, emailed me or just thought positive thoughts towards me, trust me when I say it has made a huge difference to me.
Most of all I want to thank my wife Tedi for being so awesome. She has been my rock and has been there for me to congratulate me on the steps I am making, or if I get down about anything she helps me snap out of it and get back to getting better. She has really been my inspiration and my motivation throughout this entire ordeal, I am lucky to have her by my side and I cant wait to see her.
I will keep doing updates every week or any time I reach another goal, lately every week I have reached another goal so if I continue that trend I will have updates every week.
Cheers
Aaron

Aaron, I’m doing a double take right now as I read this post from you. It seems like just yesterday I was listening to Jason Curdy explaining the crash to me as I felt my heart drop – and now here you are talking to us in your own words. I know you still have a long road to recovery, but just knowing that you’ve made it this far is the biggest relief yet. I hope to see you stateside sooner than later. Take care my friend, and please keep us posted. (Oh, and I’m sorry about the 4am txt… Lol)

Aaron – So good to “hear” your voice. What an amazing comeback!!! We look forward to seeing you in either Colorado or Georgia when you get back to the US. (Sorry, NZ is a little outside of our flight path.) All our well wishes to you. Love Helen and Ron

Hi Aaron, So good to see you posting news for yourself. And talking and eating too. I miss those Kiwi scallops!
I guess by now you are powering ahead with the physio too. We all keep up with the news via the site (thanks, Scott and website masters) and via family emails.
I’ve heard lots about your time in the hospital in Colorado from John (your dad, my brother). I’m sure you know how many hours and days he and Megan were by your bedside, while we all sat on the other side of the world, wishing and hoping. He and Megan have been absolutely amazing, and all of us in the family were so glad that they were able to be with you all that time while you were recovering.
No doubt you are keen to get back to Tedi and your friends in the US. They sound like a great bunch of supporters – you couldn’t want more than so many wonderful mates.
Make the most of your time in NZ, your family love you and support you all the way.
love Sherryl (aunt)

Clarkie-
It really is great to see how well you’re walking. Keep it going man! You may be thousands of miles away, but we all still have you in our thoughts. Congratulations on all your successfully completed goals. We’re all anxious to see some more.

I spent a good many hours watching you ride. I am a paramedic and I worked alot of the races in pueblo. I was not there the day that you crashed, but I do know the guys that were there. I am so glad that you are doing well, and I am so glad that my commrades were able to give you the support you required at that critical moment. Best wishes for a full recovery. God Bless you and yours!

Thanks so much for the message. I have always had a lot of respect of respect for what you guys and girls do, obviously now I have a lot more even though it isnt my first ride in an ambulace. Please thank the crew that helped me at PPIR and let them know my recovery is going well, a friend of mine here does the similar thing and he said they spend a lot of the time wondering what happened to the people they helped.
