Aaron heading to NZ for rehab

On Friday, December 5th, Aaron will be transferred to the Auckland City Hospital in New Zealand. We feel that Aaron will receive the best medical care at Auckland City Hospital and this will give him the best shot at a full recovery.

The hospital has already reviewed his medical records and have decided that he should be admitted via the Acute Care Orthopaedic unit. Auckland Hospital will also perform a full assessment of Aaron once he arrives. Eventually, once his pelvis is mobilized, he will be moved to the Rehab Plus Unit. The Rehab Plus Unit is a specialist brain injury rehab facility and will provide Aaron with a higher level of care specific to brain injury.

The updates on getwellclarkie.com will be continued as a way for everyone to keep up on Aarons status and progress.

Yet again another huge thanks for everyone that has been there for us to lean on in so many different ways.

Although I’m sad to hear you’re leaving the US, I’m glad to have one more reason to visit NZ! Please do keep everyone up on your progress. I’m really looking forward to having Clarkie hosting a riding event on the north island (hint, hint!).

Best wishes – Jim (aka the Clarkie RoR chicane)
