Thanks

Hi there

Just another quick one from me.  I wanted to post a great big whopping Kiwi thank you to a few more people.  For those who may not know, Alex set this website up in a matter of days after Aaron’s accident.  Alex – this site has made it possible for Aaron’s friends and family all over the world to check on his progress.  And they check almost every day.

Even just from the Clark/ Long side of the family we have cousins in Pakistan, family in Australia and friends in the US, U.K. and all over.  Let alone all of Aaron’s US friends.  When in a situation like this you realise that the internet is a beautiful thing.  So thank you so much for not only setting it up but the time you have spent on it in between your job and your family.  And I hope your truck is out of ICU and feeling a bit better!

I also want to give out another big thank you to all those people who came to ICU to be with Aaron but also with Tedi and with Scott.  Your support has been incredible – especially Josh, Brownie, Glenn, Segren, Shannon, Kristi…and all the others that we met for the first time.  There were so many of you.  And yes, the crab dip is still an obsession.

Bryan, Carole, cute little Jake, Diane, Joe, Greg and Ashlynn.  Thank yo so very much for inviting Andrew and me into your beautiful home for such a lovely home-cooked dinner last night.  Bryan, your laaaaamb was outstanding.

Jackie, Arwen and Brendon Miers – I got a big smile when I read Aaron your messages.  Aaron’s long term memory is pretty good and he can’t believe that people he hasn’t heard of for so long have bothered to write.

The nursing staff are going to start taking Aaron out of his room a little bit more over the next week to increase the amount of stimulation.  We need to see how he will cope with this.  It will be small steps but it’s an important next part of the process.
