Scott sends word that the doctors have removed the respirator tube from Clarkie’s throat! It’s been about two hours now and things are looking good. I can imagine that it feels better to have that out of his body. Keep progressing, Clarkie!
Scott sends word that so far today Clarkie is the same. He has a stable heart rate which is good, and his temperature is still a bit high. The doctors are still waiting to remove the breathing tube, we don’t know if they’ll do that today or not.
Megan left us a great update in the Guestbook, and I wanted to promote that to the front page so everyone can see. Hey there Megan, Aaron’s big sis here. Well, Team Clarkie Night Watch about to sign off. Lil Bro has had a pretty good night…he is quite rested, his breathing is GREAT and [...]
Kelly Rees has the initial set of donations available for auction to benefit Clarkie! You can bid on the items here, and be sure to read more about the auctions and events set up to support Aaron.
Scott sends word that at approximately 6pm tonight the neurologist woke Aaron up and he was responsive enough to show two fingers and raise his eyebrow when asked! He is also still breathing on his own, but unfortunately is running a pretty high fever. This is a bit of a worry, as apparently any time [...]
I’ve been in contact with Scott this morning and have an update to share. As Megan mentioned a few hours ago, Clarkie has been breathing on his own for 24 hours now. The doctors were planning on removing the tube from his throat at 8AM, however his breathing was still a bit erratic so they [...]
Clarkie’s sister Megan posted this in the comments and I wanted to give it a bit more visibility as it contains a status update and thank you. I’m Aaron’s sister, Megan, and I just thought I’d say hi. I’ve just finished the Clarkie Night Shift and we’ve had a good night. He’s now been exactly [...]
Kelly Rees has contacted me with a request that anyone who is collecting donations and items for auction for Clarkie to please contact him. The concern is that the vendors and organizations are getting contacted by multiple (good intentioned) people, and without a clear record of who is collecting what it gets confusing very quickly. [...]
I just received an email from Brittany, who is the 16 year old neighbor of Aaron, Tedi, and Scott. In her email she offers a good insight into their characters, and she agreed that I could share it here. I am 16 years old and am writing to you because i care about Aaron so [...]
Scott has just texted me with the awesome news that Clarkie is now breathing on his own, and he also opened his eyes! I’m no doctor, but this sounds like very encouraging news. On a less positive note, he has a staph infection in his lungs. I don’t have any more details about that, hopefully [...]
