Update Friday Oct 24 9pm
I just got a few text messages from Scott with an update on Aaron’s condition. Unfortunately, he failed today’s swallow test, which means that the doctors won’t be able to put a valve in his trach to enable him to talk. They also found a new infection in his lungs. 
The good news is that he did sit up at the edge of his bed for 30 minutes! I don’t have a good understanding of how that is working, with his pelvis injury not being weight-bearing, so hopefully Megan can give us some more details in her next update. Clarkie remains off the respirator and is breathing on his own.

That is great that he sat up for 30 min and that he is breathing on his own! He truly is a fighter and a WINNER!
