Clarkie Night Watch Post
Hi there
Well, not a huge amount to report from the night, which is nothing but a good thing. Clarkie has been sleeping a lot which, although it means he not such great company, it does mean he’s a bit more comfortable and settled, and that’s great. Hopefully he’s over the worst of the pain from the pelvic surgery as the second day after the op (yesterday) was always going to be the worst as far as that area goes.
His fever is still too high but the good news is that he is no longer attached to the ventilator at all and is breathing totally on his own (through the trach) without the attachment. That’s very cool to see.
The other news is that he finally got got have the MRI scan last night. We expect to get the initial results early today and all going well he can have the neck brace off, which has been a precaution in case of neck injury.
Because we aren’t sure where he is at in terms of the brain trauma it has been decided to not allow any visitors at this time. I’m so sorry as I know there are a lot of you who want to see him but at the moment his brain needs to be in full rest mode. We hope that it won’t be too long and Tedi will be sure to get a post put up on the site and let you know as soon as he is good to go.
It would be great as well if you could all save up some of the incredible positivity and helpfulness that is out there for when we finally get him home to their place, as Tedi will need even more support around that time.
To the Perrett’s – it’s so lovely to hear from you; Denise & Paul – thanks for your wishes and I think that’s the first message from Pakistan; Arwen – how can I fever forget Aaron and the lads singing “You’ve lost that loving feeling” to me & Suzy at our 21st party…especially as they drank all my beer and shortly after got us evicted.
Thanks team
Signing off
Megan
